Sophia Amato Announces New EP “NY/LON”, Shares Title Track
London-based singer-songwriter Sophia Amato has announced her sophomore EP “NY/LON” will be released on November 24, 2023.
It is her first project in two years since the 2021 debut EP “Glorious Mess”. The EP comprises 6-track.
Sophia Amato said of the EP, “Spent the last couple of years working on an EP and I can’t wait to get it off the hard-drive and into the world. The songs are inspired by my time between New York and London.”
From the EP, she released the second single and the title track “NY/LON” on November 3, 2023, following “ICONS”.
The track was written by Sophia Amato, Karl Zine, and Kerstin Ljungström. Produced by Karl Zine.
Drawing inspiration from her experiences on night flights between the bustling metropolises of New York and London, she has crafted a musical utopia that encapsulates the essence of these two vibrant cities.
Sophia Amato said of the song, “Inspired by night flights between New York and London, I wrote NY/LON as my utopia - a place between both cities. Inspired by Hollywood soundtracks from the 60’s - harps, flutes, strings - I wanted this song to feel widescreen.”- source : Apple Music
