Brother Elsey Returns With Two New Songs “Passing Through” & “Babylon”
Detroit-based folk-rock band Brother Elsey, consisting of Brady Stablein (vocals/guitar), Jack Stablein (lead guitar), Beau Stablein (bass) and Dalton Thoma (drums), returned with two new songs “Passing Through” and “Babylon” on October 13, 2023.
The songs are their first music in two years since the 2021 album “You Don't Know Anything”.
“Passing Through” was written by Brady Stablein, and Tristan Bushman. “Babylon” was written by Brady Stablein. Both songs were produced by Drew Long.
Brother Elsey said of “Passing Through”, “'Passing Through,' at face value, is a song about the call that every musician must answer to choose a life of leaving things behind in pursuit of some higher creative purpose. But there's a duality to the lifestyle that can be easily overlooked - two sides of the same coin, one a troubadour's dream of the open road and the other a hollow version of stability and companionship.”- w0IhcCGdoMk

The band continued, “'Babylon' plays on the Biblical story and the warning that it brings … [serving as] as a spotlight on how we all play a part in the noise and we have a choice we can make in the process, whether your part spreads love or is just another brick in the tower.”- source : Apple Music
