The track was written by George Sheppard, Amy Sheppard, Jordan Witzigreuter, and Cameron Walker-Wright. Produced by George Sheppard and Jordan Witzigreuter. The accompanying music video was directed by Josh Harris.
George Sheppard said of the song, “'Dance on the Sun' is a beacon of hope for those who have faced adversity and found themselves in the midst of darkness. This song serves as a reminder that even when the world feels lonely and bleak, the sun will always rise again, and with it, comes a renewed sense of euphoria, warmth, and love.”- Also, the song is dedicated to their grand mother.
The band shared on social media about the song, “This is Baba (our grandma). She is 85 years old. Her mum put her on a ship to move over to Australia by herself when she was 18. She told us it took 24 days. She left her family... Her country... And everyhing she knew for a better life. She moved to Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.. Where she met her husband (our Dida). She had 7 children (2 sets of twins). Out Dida then passed away at 45 from lung cancer. Leaving behind his beautiful wife and 7 kids. One by one she picked all pieces up... And even though life has thrown her a lot of darkness. She turned it into love. This song is dedicated to her. Her name is ZORA.” - source : Apple Music
