Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Gal Musette released a new song “Into the Blue” on June 30, 2023.
The song is the last promotional single from her upcoming sophomore album “Pendulum”, which is set to be released this summer.
She recorded the song during peak of the pandemic in October 2021.
The track was written by Gal Musette, Via Mardot, Levi Matulis, Philip Shaw Bova, Jon O'Brien, and Adam Bradley Schreiber. Produced by Jonathan O'Brien.
Gal Musette shared on social media, “My last single for the new album. This song features the musicianship of Via Mardot, Jon O'Brien, Levi Matulis & Adam Bradley Schreiber absolutely killing it, and some of the most cathartic lyrics for me on the record.”- She continued, “It's hard to put into words how much it means to me to put out this song… we recorded it in Oct. 2021 (!!) during a peak of the pandemic. Recording this whole album, but particularly “Into the blue,” was a huge release in numerous ways for me from the heavy season of anxiety I was struggling with. I feel that through the words, and the joyful energy of the musicianship featured in it, I was able to take a first step out of a toxic mindset/downward spiral that I was lost in.”
Gal Musette said of the song in a statement, “Into The Blue" is "about letting go of all the expectations I clung on so tightly to, and attempting to break the delusional patterns of my mind, self-loathing and narrow minded thinking. The catharsis of realizing the lack of control I have even over my own mind.” -
