Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ EMM Releases New Song “DELILAH”
Los Angeles-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Emma Norris, aka EMM released a new song “DELILAH” on June 30, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to “LOZER (With A Z)”, which was released back in May.
Both songs will appear on her upcoming secret project “GENESIS”, which is expected to be released later this year.
The track was written by Emma Norris and Nigel Van Hemmye.
“DELILAH” is inspired by a scene in the Diary of a Mad Black Woman; where the ex-wife of an extremely abusive man finds herself in a caretaker position because he becomes paralyzed, and she is deciding whether or not to take revenge for what he has done to her.
EMM explained about the song, “The story of Delilah is a bible story where a woman uses her power to drain a man of his strength. I saw a TikTok that said “most men would leave immediately if they were treated as poorly as women are often treated, and women are far more likely to stay.”
The new project “GENESIS” is a two piece documentary and live performance that highlights what women go through in music, and dives into tough topics like sexual abuse in the music business.- source : Apple Music
