Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Freya Ridings Releases New Song “Can I Jump?”
London-based singer-songwriter Freya Ridings moved the release date of her upcoming sophomore album “Blood Orange” to April 28th from May 5, 2023.
From the album, she released the third single called “Can I Jump?” on March 24, 2023.
The track was inspired by the biggest of decisions - the prospect of getting married to her partner after an on/off/on relationship which started when she was 19-years-old.
It was written by Freya Ridings, Scott Harris, Annika Bennett, and Federico Vindver who also produced the track.
Freya Ridings said of the song, “I have always had trust issues. I mean, I'm a solo artist! I could have been in a band, but it always felt safer to do things alone. And I liked to be in control. And there's a huge element where you cannot be in control when you're getting married to someone. You have to trust and love them completely. So I was like: can I jump?”
Also, she shared on social media, “It's about bravery and the leap of faith it takes to love again after year's of heartbreak.”- source : Apple Music
