  • deux furieuses Drops New Music Video for “Let Them Pass”

  • British agit-punk duo deux furieuses, consisting of Scottish Ros Cairney (vocalist/guitarist) and Greek Vas Antoniadou (drummer), has dropped a new music video for “Let Them Pass” directed by deux furieuses themselves.

The song is featured on their third studio album “Songs from Planet Earth”, which was released last November.
It was written by Ros Cairney and Vas Antoniadou. Produced by Isi Clarke.
The duo wrote the song about the profound sense of outrage and loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and the government's incompetence.
The duo said, “'Let Them Pass' is a song of mourning and personal loss as a consequence of the Government's irresponsible care home failures during the early stages of the pandemic. I wrote it after a walk in the woods on Christmas Day 2020 when sunlight shone through the tall fir trees and I felt the death all around me pass onto life.”
They continued, “The song is about being unable to say goodbye in person. It's for the young care home worker who broke the rules to accept a video of homemade music via her WhatsApp to play on a final phone call and told me: 'she's smiling'. It's in tribute to all those who put on what little PPE they had to care for others. It's a song of mourning for us all as this passes into history.”
  • The duo shared on social media, “Three years ago the country entered lockdown due to the Covid pandemic. To mark this anniversary, here is our new video for 'Let Them Pass', a song of mourning and personal loss as a consequence of the Government's irresponsible care home failures during the early stages of the pandemic.
The song is about being unable to say goodbye in person. It's in tribute to all those who put on what little PPE they had to care for others. It's a lament for us all as this passes into history.
Today Boris Johnson will obfuscate and dissemble before the privileges committee over his knowledge of what happened in Downing Street during the lockdowns. Let's hope his entitlement and hypocrisy finally bring him down!”
