  • Clifton 2.5 Releases New Song “Outskirts of Nowhere”

  • London-based singer-songwriter Clifton 2.5 released the second single called “Outskirts of Nowhere” from her upcoming debut EP of the same name on March 17, 2023.

The debut EP is set to be released on April 14, 2023 via Leafy Outlook.
The track was written by Harriet Kemble and produced by Ross Dorkin. It is inspired by Delia Owens's 2018 “book Where the Crawdads Sing”.
Clifton 2.5 said of the song, “'Outskirts of Nowhere' was written after I finished reading the book 'Where the Crawdads Sing' as I was inspired by the landscapes painted in the book, especially the marshes and the imagery of a lonely, heartbroken girl who had been left behind. The song just landed in my head in about 20 minutes and I knew it would be the first song I recorded.”
She continued, “It gave me a lot of confidence that all of this was really possible.”
