Audien & Codeko Team Up for New Song “Antidote” featuring JT Roach
American DJ Audien teamed up with London-based DJ Codeko to release a new song “Antidote” on February 24, 2023.
This time, both DJs recruited Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter JT Roach on the track.
This marks the first time Audien, Codeko, and JT Roach have worked together.
The track speaks of being a source of peace in a world of chaos and toxicity.
It was written by Nathaniel Rathbun, Edward Clark, Ben Samama, John Thomas Roach, and Roland Spreckley. Produced by Rollo, Audien, and SAMAMA.
Audien said of the song, “Antidote is my first record with Ed, [Codeko]. During the PHND tour, we played a lot of shows together and I truly realized how alike we were. We truly have the same ear for things and I think our heart is in the music similarly. JT was the absolute perfect singer for this as well. The song is about staying centered around commitment, being that person for someone you love. In many ways the music I'm making today is that commitment to myself. Staying true to what speaks to me.”- Codeko said, “Antidote was written when Audien and I were on his tour together towards the end of last year. Our music taste has always been pretty similar and so when he suggested we write something together, it couldn't have gone much more smoothly. We worked on it traveling between shows in hotels & airports, and within a few days we were already playing it out live. A few weeks later JT tracked the vocals and it was finished!”
