James Arthur Covers Shania Twain's “You're Still the One” & Christina Perri's “A Thousand Years”
British singer-songwriter James Arthur has released two covers of Canadian singer-songwriter Shania Twain's “You're Still the One” and American singer-songwriter Christina Perri's “A Thousand Years”.
The original version of the song was released by Shania Twain as the third single from her third studio album “Come On Over” in 1998.
The track was written by Shania Twain and Robert John 'Mutt' Lange and produced by Lange.
The song reached No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 10 on the UK Singles chart.
Also the song was nominated for four Grammy Awards in 1999, winning Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song.

“A Thousand Years” was released by Christina Perri from the 2011 film “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” soundtrack in 2011.
The track was written by Perri and David Hodges.
She re-recorded the song with vocals from Steve Kazee for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2”.
The song became Diamond disc (over 3 million sold) in the US and Platinum disc (over 2 million sold) in the UK.
He is currently working on his upcoming fifth studio album (yet-untitled). It follows up the 2021 album “It'll All Make Sense in the End”
