Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Rachel Chinouriri Releases New Song “Maybe I'm Lonely”
Back in December 2022, British singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri posted a demo version of her new song called “Maybe I'm Lonely” to SoundCloud.
At that time, she shared on social media, “Hello internet, I made a song called 'Maybe I'm Lonely' and I wanted to share it with you guys today. My label are away for Christmas so I just thought I'd quote tweet this daily to try and spread the word myself and until I can get a release date as there's no plan yet 😂💖 thanks x”
Finally, she released the song on February 1, 2023.
The track was written by Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Glen Roberts, and Rachel Chinouriri. Produced by HYLNU.
The song is the follow-up to the collaborative song “Fairytale” with London-based producer Mac Wetha, which was released in January 2023.- She said of the song, “I wrote this from the perspective of not knowing what I want. When you are in a long term relationship and know nothing else, it's hard navigating the dating world. It's about how I don't want a relationship but struggle to not attach feelings to more casual situations. Do I like you or do I like the idea of you? Am I crushing on you or do I enjoy having companionship? Do I actually like you or do I fear being alone? I hope other people know the feeling because I have struggled with it recently but I'm getting better.”
She will support Lewis Capaldi's Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent Tour in EU. The tour kicks off at International Arena in Cardiff on February 1, 2023.
