Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ PVRIS Releases New Song “GODDESS”
American rock band PVRIS, consisting of Lynn Gunn (vocals/guitar) and Brian MacDonald (bass/keyboards), unveiled a new song “GODDESS” on January 26, 2023.
The song is the third single off of their upcoming fourth studio album, following ANYWHERE BUT HERE” and “ANIMAL”.
The band first performed the song during their UK tour 2023 at Manchester Academy on January 22, 2023.
The track was written by Lyndsey Gerd Gunnulfsen and Justin Thomas Daly. Produced by JT Daly.
Lynn Gunn said of the song, “It's a celebration of femininity, all shapes and forms, and a cathartic, guttural scream at the same time”
The new album is expected to be released in 2023. Lynn Gunn told Kerrang! about the album last October, "I would say: dynamic, versatile, duality and contrast! There's a lot of push and pull, there's a lot of juxtaposition, and that dancing I described of organic versus inorganic, real life versus synthetic. That's a big thing that I've been exploring visually and sonically, and I think lyrically, too: there's a lot of push and pull between doom and joy, and hate and love. That's always been there, but it's definitely been embodied and explored in a lot of different ways this time around.”- After the UK tour, the band will launch European tour The tour kicks off at Kavka Zappa in Antwerp, Belgium on January 30, 2023 and will conclude at Gretchen in Berlin, Germany on February 10, 2023.
