Master Peace Premieres New Song “Veronica” on BBC Radio 1
British punk rapper Peace Okezie, aka Master Peace premiered a new song “Veronica” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the second single off of his upcoming third EP “Peace of Mind”, following “Country Life”.
It was written by Master Peace and produced by Matt Schwartz.
Master Peace told Clara Amfo about the song, “I just felt like I finally found myself in my music. A lot of like, struggles to kind of like get there, but I felt like now I finally kind of know where I want to be and where I want to sit. And obviously coming from where I come from an artist I'm trying to be I feel like finally now like I was like let's just believe in it a bit more like let's own it instead of kind of like half heartedly like one foot in one foot out kinda vibe.”
He continued, “I feel like I can finally own it and I felt like I need to stand for something a little bit. I noticed a lot of ice that I like, again, black and like where I'm from and we don't really kind of like step up, or hover people don't get or how people don't understand, but I just feel like now it's good to be yourself. And I feel like this EP and this song just makes me feel like I'm myself. I'm Peace. This is peace, like in the most truest form.”
The EP comprises 6-track and is set to be released on February 24, 2023. It is his first project in two years since the 2021 EP “Public Display Of Affection”.
