Astrid S Performs “Favourite Part Of Me” at Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony
Norwegian singer-songwriter Astrid S appeared on Nobel Peace Prize Award ceremony in Oslo to perform “Favourite Part Of Me”.
She performed the song with world renowned violinist Catharina Chen to the winners and the Norwegian royal family.
The song was released from her fifth EP “Down Low” in 2019.
It was written by Carol Ades, Jason Gill and Astrid S. Produced by Jason Gill, Eivind Helgerød and Astrid S.
This year, the Peace Prize was awarded to human rights advocate Ales Bialiatski from Belarus, the Russian human rights organisation Memorial and the Ukrainian human rights organisation Center for Civil Liberties.
The Nobel Prizes said in a statement, “The Peace Prize laureates represent civil society in their home countries. They have for many years promoted the right to criticise power and protect the fundamental rights of citizens. They have made an outstanding effort to document war crimes, human right abuses and the abuse of power. Also, after Peace Prize Award ceremony, Astrid performed “Når Snøen Smelter” on Norway TV NRK.
The song was released from the 2021 film “Tre nøtter til Askepott (Three Nuts for Cinderella)” soundtrack.
The track is her first original Norwegian-language song. It was written by Astrid S , and Carl-Viktor Guttormsen, who also produced the track.
She appeared on the film to play as Cinderella. This marks her film debut.-
