Niall Horan & Lewis Capaldi Cover U2's “Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For” from Documentary “Homecoming: The Road to Mullingar”
Irish singer-songwriter Niall Horan and Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi teamed up to cover Irish rock band U2's “Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For”.
The performance video is taken from Niall Horan's documentary film “Niall Horan's Homecoming: The Road to Mullingar with Lewis Capaldi”, which was released back in October.
Both artists recorded the song at Windmill Lane Studios, Dublin. The video was directed by Kevin Batchelor.
Niall Horan shared on social media, “Lewis Capaldi and I at Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin from our trip around Ireland earlier this year. We sat and played 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' by U2.”
The original version of the song was released by U2 as the second single from their fifth studio album “The Joshua Tree” in 1987. Produced by Brian Eno, and Daniel Lanois.
The song reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 6 on the UK Singles chart.
- The film “Niall Horan's Homecoming: The Road to Mullingar with Lewis Capaldi” presented by Guinness and tells a story of friendship and talent while celebrating modern Irish culture through the lens of two global superstars who have an authentic connection to Ireland.
The documentary was inspired by Niall Horan's desire to revisit and reconnect with all that he loves of home; to retrace the origins of the exciting life journey he's on and to experience the reality of Ireland today.
Niall Horan said, “I feel like I've never left. Every time I come home, I'm just blown away by the creativity here. Not in a Hollywood way, its real authentic talent, people going out there and doing it for the pure love of the craft.”
