AJR Releases New Song “The DJ Is Crying For Help”
American alt-pop trio AJR, consisting of Adam Met (bass), Jack Met (vocals) and Ryan Met (keyboards), released a new song “The DJ Is Crying For Help” on November 18, 2022.
The song is the follow-up to “I Won't”, which was released back in July.
Also, two songs will appear on their upcoming fifth studio album “TMM”.
The track was written by Adam Met, Jack Met, and Ryan Met. Produced by Ryan Met.
The accompanying music video was directed by Austin Roa, who filmed it in Paris.
AJR said of the song, “‘The DJ is Crying For Help’ is about the worry of having peaked already. You set these huge expectations for your life early on, and the song is about the moment when you realize life is not turning out the way you planned.”
The trio shared on social media, “This song truly means a lot to us, hope it means something to you 🎻🎻🎻”- The trio made the new album at the same time as the OKO Tour.
Jack Met told Clash Magazine about the alum, “It's hard to ever describe our next album, what the sound is going to be. We start writing, and then we follow a weird path, which then leads us to another path, and then we suddenly we have it.
There is no predicting a sound, the one thing we always say that we've reiterated, it's going to sound different to the last album, we're going to try to make songs that sonically you've never heard before in music, and we're going to do our best.” - source : Apple Music
