Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Sigrid Releases New Song “Blue”
Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid announced a special edition of her second studio album “How To Let Go”, which will be released on November 4, 2022 via Island Records.
The special edition comprises 27-track, including the previous 12-track, two new songs and new versions of the original 12-track.
From the special edition, she unveiled a new song “Blue” on October 21, 2022.
The track was written by Sigrid Solbakk Raabe, and Odd Martin who also produced it.
Sigrid shared on social media, “I'm so proud of everything to come! to give some context; I spent a lot of time in Lydriket studio in Bergen after I finished high school. Askjell was one of the songwriters/producers I worked most with, and even if I didn't go to music uni, I for sure was a student at that place - learning from everyone hanging out and working there (including Odd Martin who co-wrote and produced Blue!💙).”- She continued, “so, the more my project grew, the more singles were released and the more acoustic versions were made by Askjell and I 😌 It's been a really nice way to check in with the actual songwriting in between heavy promoting, touring, video shoots, and travelling.”
She added, “then I got this idea that I wanted to make alternative versions of all the songs from my second album with Askjell - mostly because I knew we would have the best time lol - but also because I wanted to present the songwriting of How To Let Go in a more intimate and up close way, and in that way also show that more quiet side of me. I think it's the perfect record to put on when you wanna chill, and I hope you will hear how much fun we had making this.” - source : Spotify
