  • Hunter Daily Releases Debut Song “Die In LA”

  • Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Hunter Daily released her debut song “Die In LA” on September 2, 2022,
The song encompasses the romance, heartbreak, and complexity of her hometown.
“Die in LA,” a thumping, piano-laced meditation on the City of Angels, states “there's more to life than palm trees and looking good at parties.”
The track was written by Hunter Daily, Doug Schadt, Jenna Andrews and Stephen Kirk. Produced by M-Phazes, Rob Grimaldi and Jenna Andrews.
The accompanying music video was directed by Gus Black.
Hunter Daily said of the song, “'Die In LA' is about being from LA and never feeling like I can leave or see other places because of the industry I've chosen... Everyone else gets to make that leap to follow their dreams and come here to LA, or wherever, but when you're from here and in this industry, you're forced to stay put. This song is about my longing to see more of the world and escape some of the monotony that is LA.”
  • She shared on social media, “Wow, oh wow, how I've waited for this moment! I remember sitting in my bedroom, writing countless shitty songs when I was little, just hoping that one day I'd get good enough to write something I'd actually like and feel proud of. 'Die in LA' is all of that and more. And I am sooo glad it is the first song out!!
This song… this fucking song…. it's everything I've felt in the last few years living in LA. LA is my home, it's part of my identity but in the end I know there's more out there….
I've heard 'Die in LA' probably a million times by now, and it still makes me feel something.
So, I hope it can do the same for you. I release it to you, world! 😝💕💕💕✨✨✨✨”
