American singer-songwriter GAYLE unveiled the second single called “god has a sense of humor” from her upcoming second EP “a study of the human experience volume two” on August 26, 2022.
The song is the follow-up to “indieedgycool”, which was released earlier this month.
It was written by GAYLE, Ryan Linvill and Solly. Produced by Ryan Linvill and Noah Conrad.
“This song is about wanting to have hope, and being torn between a pessimistic and optimistic perspective on the world,” Gayle explained of the song. “Because at the end of the day, I want to believe that we're all just doing our best.”
She added, “I never grew up in a religious environment, and I would never judge anyone by their own religion, but I'm kind of jealous of people who have a religion. Because they have a better understanding of the world and how things happen. They have more clarity. I feel like we're on a big rock floating in space. In this song, I talk about the hope that I try to have for this world.”
The new EP comprises 6-track, featuring guest appearance from American singer-songwriter blackbear.
