Two Door Cinema Club Announces New Album “Keep On Smiling”, Shares New Song “Wonderful Life”
London-based Irish alt-rock band Two Door Cinema Club, consisting of Alex Trimble (vocals/rhythm guitar), Sam Halliday (lead guitar) and Kevin Baird (bass), announced their fifth studio album “Keep On Smiling” would be released on September 2, 2022.
It is their first album in three years since the 2019 album “False Alarm”.
From the album, the band unveiled the lead single “Wonderful Life” on June 17, 2022.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Jack Saunders.
It was written by Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird and Sam Halliday. Produced by Alex Trimble and Dan Grech-Marguerat.
In a press release, the band acknowledges the change in the means of their musical production. Suddenly allowed a lot more time for creating music, the band adopted a much freer, more collaborative approach to the creative process.- The band made the album during the COVID-19 pandemic lock down with production by Jacknife Lee and Dan Grech Marguerat.
The album comprises 12-track and features the limited edition, which will be limited to 5000 copies globally.
The band shared on social media, “We've had a lot of questions about the limited edition vinyl and if it will ever be re-pressed so to be super clear….it won't EVER be available again on vinyl once these 5000 copies have gone. To prove it, here we are at the forge where we melted the masters to Keep on Smiling so they can never be pressed again. So…get em' while they're hot.” - source : Apple Music
