Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Florence + The Machine Premieres New Song “Free” on BBC Radio 1
British alt-rock band Florence + The Machine premiered a new song “Free” along with a music video on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the fourth single off of their upcoming fifth studio album “Dance Fever”, following “My Love”, “Heaven Is Here” and “King”.
It was written by Jack Antonoff and Florence Welch. Produced by Dave Bayley, Jack Antonoff and Florence Welch.
The video was directed by Autumn de Wilde, starring British actor Bill Nighy.
The video was filmed in Kyiv, Ukraine. Florence Welch and Autumn de Wilde also filmed the previous music video for “King” in Ukraine.
The ending of the video shows a message, “Dedicated to the sprit, creativity and perseverance of our brave Ukrainian friends. Filmed in Kyiv on 18 November 2021 with Ukrainian filmmakers and artists, whose radiant freedom can never be extinguished.”
