Dixies List Releases New Song “Drinking In The Kitchen”
Stockholm-based alt-rock band Dixies List, consisting of Valle Hedlund (guitar/vocals), Fanny Betnér (bass) and Alvin Olin (drums), is back with a new song “Drinking In The Kitchen” on March 30, 2022.
The song is their first music in two yeas since 2020 EP “Pop Up Poetry”.
It was written by Valle Hedlund.
Valle Hedlund said of the song, “my lyrics are usually based on experiences and observations from my surroundings in the nightlife of Stockholm but as the pandemic broke out and we weren't allowed to roam the streets as usual I had to gather inspiration elsewhere, looking inwards. 'Drinking in the kitchen' is about one of the small at-home gatherings that tried to fill the void the dancefloors left behind.”- The band shared on socail media, “Drinking In The Kitchen was written during the peak of the pandemic, at a small at home gathering with close friends. At the time we were all bummed out about the nonexistent nightlife but as the song came together it gave us something to look forward to; a time when the live music scene is resurrected. It finally feels like we're getting there🖤”
