Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ MEDUZA and Hozier Team Up for New Song “Tell It To My Heart”
Back in October 2020, Italian production trio MEDUZA released a collaborative song “Paradise” with Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy.
The song reached No. 5 on the UK singles chart and No. 6 on the US Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs.
Following the song, the trio recruited Hozier, who is the same Irish singer-songwriter as Dermot Kennedy, for a new song “Tell It To My Heart”.
This marks the first time Meduza and Hozier have worked together.
Hozier teased the song on social media last week, “I'm very happy to announce I'm joining Meduza on their next single Tell It To My Heart.”
It was written by Andrew Hozier-Byrne, Luca De Gregorio, Mattia Vitale, Neil Ormandy, Sam Grey and Simone Giani. Produced by Meduza.
For Hozier, the song follows up Scottish traditional song The Parting Glass”, which was released last April.
Meduza told collater.al about this collaboration, “We like to collaborate with artists who are not too contaminated by the electronic world in order to have the opportunity to experiment and give life, when the formula works, to new and not obvious music. We try, as much as we can, to get out of the standards by creating something unique and alternative. We think that the union between different genres is essential nowadays to be able to stand out in a mainstream market largely saturated with music with little personality and little search for innovation.”- EduKwPu-6eY
