White Lies Announces New Album and Shares Title Track “As I Try Not To Fall Apart”
- British post-punk band White Lies, consisting of Harry McVeigh, Charles Cave and Jack Lawrence-Brown, is back.
The band announced their sixth studio album “As I Try Not To Fall Apart” would be released on February 18, 2022. It is their first album in thee years.
From the album, the band shared title track along with a music video on September 27, 2021.
It was written and produced by Harry McVeigh, Charles Cave and Jack Lawrence-Brown.
“We wrote this song really quickly, late one night and often the songs that come quickest are written from the gut and the heart, not with the head,” White Lies said in a statement. “We wanted the melody to feel like a hymn, to give the confessional lyrics weight despite being wrapped up as a pop song.”
The band continued, “It's about accepting vulnerability as a man and knowing it's OK to be broken. There's never been a more pressing time to spread the message that it's OK to not be OK.”
The new album is available to pre-order here.
