Kelsea Ballerini Premieres New Song “la”
- American country music singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini announced her third studio album “Kelsea” will be released on March 20th.
Also, she dropped a new single “la” alongside the music video from the album on January 24th and album cover design.
"i wrote this song alone on a bathroom floor in Los Angeles last year feeling equal parts like somebody and like nobody, surrounded and completely alone, inspired and terrified, on top of the world and filled to the brim with anxiety,” Kelsea Ballerini wrote about the song on social media. “i was in between tour dates and left my guitar on the bus that particular week, so it came out as a stream of consciousness that fell into the form of a poem. as soon as I got to the bus a few days later it became this. it’s the most vulnerable thing I’ve publicly shared. it’s not cool to talk about not feeling cool. but it’s honest. and I’m really proud of every word of it.”
- The album is her first LP in three years. “As I grow up, as a woman and an artist, I’ve felt myself changing my perspective, from my view on love and life, to how love and life make me feel,” she explained of the album. “Naturally, that turns more personal, more therapeutic, and more rewarding. This album is honest, it’s country, it’s experimental, it’s fun, it’s introspective, and it’s 100% me. It’s the album that’s puts us on a first name basis.”
From the album, she has already released two singles "Homecoming Queen?" and "club. Recently, she collaborated with John K to release “if we never met” remix.
