American alt-rock singer-songwriter Lindsey Jordan's solo project Snail Mail released a new song “Ben Franklin” along with a music video on October 13, 2021.
The song is the second single off of her upcoming sophomore album “Valentine”, following the title track.
It was written by Lindsey Jordan. The video was directed by Josh Coll.
“I wanted to sonically and lyrically get out of my comfort zone with Ben Franklin,” Jordan said of the song in a statement. “It felt only right that the visual accompaniment should include dancing in front of a camera and holding a 10 foot snake close to my face.”
But the clip ends with Jordan ditching the snake and playing with an adorable puppy.
