AJR Releases New Album “OK ORCHESTRA”: Streaming
- New York City-based alt-pop trio AJR, consisting of Adam Met, Jack Met and Ryan Met, released their fourth studio album “OK ORCHESTRA”.
The album is their first LP in two years since “Neotheater”. The trio shared on social media, “It's been a year in the making, and after 12 emotionally cathartic months, it's turned into possibly our favorite album we've ever made.”
The album comprises of 13-track, featuring guest appearance from Blue Man Group, including preceding singles “Bang!,” “Bummerland,” “My Play,” and “Way Less Sad”. Produced by Ryan Met.
Jack Met said, “There are some production techniques on this next album that we've been trying to figure out how to accomplish for the last decade. And we've finally figured out how to create these sounds that have been imprisoned in our heads for so long. This new album is turning out to be some of the most extreme music we've ever made. The angriest, the saddest, but honestly the most jovial too.”
Ryan Met told Alternative Press, “That's been such an influence for us from a young age. Musical theater was our first love. We can't seem to escape it, and with each album, we lean more and more into that. We test the waters. Like, “OK, we're playing at our tours, and these guys in their 20s and 30s are coming to our shows singing pretty musical theater-inspired songs. How much can we get away with this?” That's fun for us. I think OK ORCHESTRA is the best example of that.”
