Sisters Releases New Song “Feet on the Ground”
American rock band Molly McGuire's Jason Blackmore and Brooklyn-based post-metal band Spotlights' Mario Quintero formed a new band Sisters in 2020 and will release their highly-anticipated debut album “Leecheater” on August 25, 2023.
From the album, the band released the third single called “Feet on the Ground” on August 18, 2023, following “Born Again” and “Through the Cracks.”
The track was written by Jason Blackmore and Mario Quintero. Produced by Sisters.
The debut album comprises 8-track, featuring powerful, distorted guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and Jason Blackmore's distinctive vocals,
The band recorded the album at Mario Quintero's home studio in Pittsburgh.
- Mario Quintero said of the album, “We really wanted the record to sound different, like if an old Minor Threat record was recorded through a Queens of the Stone Age machine - dry, dark, and chunky - I think we nailed it.”
Jason Blackmore continued, “Recording has become much easier as I get older. I used to get stressed out and uncomfortable because I wanted everything to be perfect, and I had everything pretty much musically orchestrated and mapped out in my head going into a studio [but] Mario is a genius. He is a natural. He has the technical side of recording down. Which I do not. So it's the definition of teamwork. I bring in the songs and he knows exactly how to get the right sounds – when you are recording with one of your best friends in his home studio it's effortless, stressless and magical.”
