Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Hot Milk Releases New Song “I Fell in Love With Someone I Shouldn't Have”
Manchester-based emo pop band Hot Milk, consisting of Han Mee and Jim Shaw, will release their upcoming EP “The King and Queen of Gasoline” on August 5, 2022 via Music For Nations.
The 6-track EP is their first project since 2021 EP “I JUST WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I'M DEAD”.
On July 14, the band released the third single called “I Fell in Love With Someone I Shouldn't Have” from the EP.
The track was written by Jim Shaw and Hannah Mee.
Hannah Mee said, “that song is about a boy who was a pure dickhole and honestly that whole relationship was enough to put me off men for a lifetime, so kind of [yes, it has LGBT themes], it’s definitely part of my journey.”
Jim Shaw said of the song, “THIS IS NOT A FKIN LOVE SONG. This is revenge. Han started writing this at 16 'n we revisited it and made it into a heartbreak anthem that is not about wallowing, it’s about getting your own back. This is a song about reclaiming power from an abusive relationship and coming back twice as strong, maybe overly. They won’t fuck with you again.”- source : Apple Music
