Kelsy Karter Premieres New Song “God Knows I've Tried”
Los Angeles-based Australian soul singer Kelsy Karter has released a new song “God Knows I've Tried”.
The song is her fourth single of the 2018, following "Too Many Hearts to Break", "Easy Tiger" and "Sad Sad Summer".
The track is R&B ballad featuring her soulful vocals.
"I've spent my whole life being rebellious and doing what people told me not to do," Kelsy Karter said of the song. "And when you have that kind of spirit, somebody always gets hurt. I guess "God Knows I've Tried" is just my apology letter in the form of a rock&roll ballad."- Kelsy Karter makes vintage-influenced pop and soul with a contemporary twist. She was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia.
After high school, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her career.
In 2012, she debuted with the single "The Revolution". Her debut EP "Kiss the Boys" was released in 2015.
Also she joined in American TV "12 Monkeys" original series soundtrack in 2018, where she performed "Don't You Forget About Me".
Her music is influenced from Queen, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
“I want to be an artist that speaks to my generation," she explained her music. "If you want a 50-year career then you have to be innovative and ahead of what’s next. The drum patterns and guitar tones on my record definitely veer toward those early Beatles/Stones vibes, but my stories and ideas will always move and grow with me in the modern world.” - source : The Line Of Best Fit
