  • Foo Fighters Releases Powerful 10-Minute New Song “The Teacher”

  • American rock band Foo Fighters, consisting of Dave Grohl (vocals/guitar), Nate Mendel (bass), Pat Smear (guitar), Chris Shiflett (guitar), Rami Jaffee (keyboards) and Josh Freese (drums), will release their upcoming eleventh studio album “But Here We Are” this Friday (June 2nd).

From the album, the band unveiled the final promotional single called “The Teacher” on May 30, 2023.
The song is the fourth single off of the album following “Rescued”, “Under You”, and l“Show Me How”.
The 10-minute-long track is the longest song the band has ever recorded, and is accompanied by the Tony Oursler-directed short film.
Tony Oursler also worked with Dave Grohl on the 2013 song “Where Are We Now?”.
The song is dedicated to Dave Grohl's late mother, Virginia Hanlon Grohl, who died last August and was a teacher by profession.
Also, the track features guest vocals by Dave Grohl's daughter Violet.
The track was written by Foo Fighters and produced by Greg Kurstin.
  • The new album comprises 10-track, produced by Foo Fighters and Greg Kurstin. It is their first studio album since the death of their longtime drummer, Taylor Hawkins, in March 2022.
Recently, the band announced that a new drummer Josh Freese joined in the band as Taylor Hawkins' replacement for touring after its release.
