Back in June, British singer-songwriter Jacob Collier teamed up with American singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine and American guitarist John Mayer to release a new song “Never Gonna Be Alone”.
The song is the follow-up to the 2021 singles “The Sun Is In Your Eyes” and “Flow Freely”.
The track was written by Jacob Collier, Lizzy McAlpine and John Mayer. Produced by Jacob Collier.
This marks Jacob Collier and Lizzy McAlpine have worked together since the 2022 song “erase me” from Lizzy McAlpine's album “five seconds flat”.
“Here's a song I wrote last year, in the depths of lockdown, with my dear friend Lizzy McAlpine. I wanted to explore the deep, vivid emotional world of isolation, loss and memory, blurring the lines between reality and imagination, by piecing together a tapestry of soft orchestral sounds. It speaks to my experience of the world as a hugely beautiful and fragile place, and has helped me process some of the grief I think we're all feeling for our pasts and futures, in a myriad of different ways.”
After the release of the song, Jacob Collier has dropped a new live video for “All I Need” with Jamaican-British singer-songwriter Mahalia.
The video was filmed at O2 Academy Brixton in London in June 2022.
The song is included on his fourth studio album “Djesse Vol. 3”, which was released in 2020.- TzqNaNMgcMs
