The Fur Releases New Song “Autograph”
Swedish music producer The Fur has released a new song “Autograph”. The song follows up “NIGHT EYES”, which was released last November.
It was written and produced by The Fur. The track is inspired by “Straight up” by Paula Abdul and features early 90s synth-pop vibes.
He created the song remotely, with the brass section being entirely live, recorded by musicians in New York, the guitars recorded in Stockholm, and all live percussion performed in Nashville.
The Fur said, “From the beginning, Autograph was about a fan who could do anything to get a star's autograph. But when I was in the final stages of writing the text, the storming of the Capitol took place. Then I thought that the song would instead be about a general obsession. How can you become so fascinated and misled by a human being that you no longer see clearly. We all have a responsibility to be critical of trends and people with great influence. The world becomes a dangerous place when we stop calling power and take personal responsibility for our actions. It's more obvious now than ever before in my lifetime.”
The Fur shared on social media, “Since I wrote this song, the focus of our attention had shifted from one horrible world leader to another one. But it's more or less the same old story. Lies, manipulation, violence, conflict. The music is good though 😊 Take a listen! 💜”- source : Apple Music
