American singer-songwriters blackbear will release his upcoming sixth studio album “in loving memory” on August 26, 2022.
On August 5th, he dropped the third single called “toxic energy” from the album, following “the idea” and “gfy” with American singer-songwriters Machine Gun Kelly.
This time, he teamed up with American rock band The Used on the track.
The track was written by blackbear, Travis Barker, Andrew Goldstein, Joe Kirkland and Jordan Schmidt. Produced by blackbear, Travis Barker and Andrew Goldstein.
blackbear said, “It's when you're done babysitting and giving your heart away and you need to take time for yourself. This person lifts you up like cocaine but drops you in the dark like a lightning storm, the only way out is inward, enjoy.”
The Used's frontman Bert McCracken said of the song as a “love letter to that toxic person that you have reached your limit on.”
The new album comprises 12-track, featuring guest appearances from The Used, Machine Gun Kelly, New Found Glory and Bayside.- source : Apple Music
