Bandaid Brigade Announces New Album “Sex Is Terrifying”, Shares New Song “Abacus”
- American pop-punk band Bandaid Brigade, consisting of Zach Quinn (vocals/guitar), Brian Wahlstrom (keyboards), Paul Rucker (drums) and Chris Fogal (guitar), announced their sophomore album “Sex Is Terrifying” would be released on August 26, 2022.
The album is their first LP in two years and comprises 12-track. The band recorded the album with at High Tower Studios with production by James Whitten.
Brian Wahlstrom said of the album, “It truly did start with some tragedy happening in our lives. Literally the day we started recording drums for the first album, my wife called and left me. Zach was the guy next to me, who just held me in his arms for a week while we made the album together. And then he was going through issues with his girl at the same time. There was just a lot of stuff. I've never had anything close to this. I feel like I'm able to be myself and be who I am as a musician and writer, but also my personality. I'd tried to play piano in punk before, and Zach was the first person in that punk community who said that that's what I should be doing! This is a project where I can totally be myself. This is my home.”
From the album, the band unveiled a new song “Abacus” on June 10, 2022.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Hit The Buck” released back in April.
It was written by Zach Quinn and Brian Wahlstrom. Produced by James Whitten.
