FINNEAS Performs “What They'll Say About Us” & Cover of Tim Minchin's “White Wine In The Sun” on BBC Radio 1 Piano Sessions
American singer-songwriter FINNEAS appeared on BBC Radio 1 Piano Sessions to perform a cover of Tim Minchin's “White Wine In The Sun” and his song “What They'll Say About Us”.
“White Wine In The Sun” was released by Australian artist Tim Minchin in 2009 from his live album “Ready for This?”. The song was re-released in 2012.
“What They'll Say About Us” was released back in September. It is FINNEAS' first single since his debut EP ”Blood Harmony” released in 2019.
The track is inspired by the Black Lives Matter protests and Nick Cordero's death due to COVID-19.
FINNEAS told WSJ, “I kind of wrote this song as if you were singing to your loved one who was in a hospital bed while the world was protesting outside. I did make a point to keep the song fairly ambiguous because I know everybody's sort of going through different circumstances of the same things right now.”- axBq6Q_ltIc
