Netta Releases Cover of Bob Dylan's “The Times They Are A-Changin'”
Israeli singer-songwriter Netta Barzilai, aka Netta released a cover of Bob Dylan's “The Times They Are A-Changin'” along with a music video on December 4th.
The track will appear on her upcoming EP “The Best Of Netta's Office - Vol. 1”, which is due out December 18th. The music video was directed by Guy Nahum Levy.
The original version of the song was released by Bob Dylan from his 1964 album of the same name. Bob Dylan wrote the song as a deliberate attempt to create an anthem of change for the time, influenced by Irish and Scottish ballads.
Netta said, “2020 was not like any other year. It introduced into our lives more change than we ever knew was possible. Violence, racism, hatred, isolation and protest - they all reached a peak, and there is a lot of sadness and pain but also a hope for fruitful grounds and something new to grow from it. I feel like we're going through some kind of a stormy cleanse.”
She continued, “The world has changed. We are pointing fingers and picking fights instead of accepting and embracing this change. I was humbled to touch this song along with my musical director Avshalom, and this is what came out.”- source : Shore Fire Media
