Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Kristin Chenoweth & Ariana Grande Cover Lesley Gore's “You Don’t Own Me”
American actress Kristin Chenoweth and singer-songwriter Ariana Grande worked together to release a cover song “You Don’t Own Me”.
The song will appear on Kristin Chenoweth's seventh studio album “For the Girls”, which is out September 27th.
The original version of “You Don’t Own Me” was released by Lesley Gore in November 1963. The song was her second most successful recording and her last top-ten single.
Back in 2015, Grace and G-Eazy covered the song, which featured on the soundtrack for “Suicide Squad”.
Ariana Grande said, “I have always loved you and i always will. Congratulations on your new album and thank you from the bottom of my heart for having me be a part ! i truly can’t put into words how much it means to me ! i truly can’t believe this is even real.”
In addition to Ariana Grande, the new album “For the Girls” features guest appearances from Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire and Jennifer Hudson.
