rlyblonde Releases New Song “Dumb Blonde”
Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Carina Allen, aka rlyblonde released a new song “Dumb Blonde” on May 10, 2024.
The song is the first single of 2024, and this time, she worked with producer and multi-instrumentalist Robbie Guariglia.
The accompanying music video was directed by rlyblonde herself.
This song is about being the main character, manifesting your dreams, and enjoying the present moment despite having anxiety.
rlyblonde said of the song, “Life is unpredictable. One day you're on top of the world, the next day you're having a meltdown…you're never going to hit a point where you stop facing challenges, especially as an artist. So when things ARE good, you might as well enjoy it, even if it's just for one night.”- She continued, “It's been such a gift to work with someone who is willing to take the time to properly flesh out a song and sound, who wants to really understand what is going on inside my brain, and who can help me translate all of that into my music. It's been invaluable and I think it shows in the music.”
rlyblonde said of the video, “Directing and producing my own videos is such an integral part of making music for me. I'm not just writing songs, I'm building an entire visual world for people to escape into.” -
