Dan + Shay Performs “Tequila” and “Speechless” on Jimmy Kimmel Live
American country music duo Dan + Shay (Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney) appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where the duo performed “Tequila” and “Speechless”.
“Tequila” was released back in January and written by Shay Mooney, Jordan Reynolds, Nicolle Galyon and Dan Smyers.
The song reached No. 21 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The music video for the song was directed by Patrick Tracy and racked up over 32 million views on YouTube.
The duo Billbaord about the song in an interview;
"Jordan Reynolds (co-writer) actually was watching our Instagram story, he’s like, 'Dude, you guys drink a lot of tequila. We gotta write that song.' It’s kind of what inspired us to write that tune. I’m glad we did – it’s gotten us a good bit of free tequila, so hopefully that’ll keep pouring in."
“Speechless” is their latest song and was released in May. It was written by Shay Mooney, Jordan Reynolds, Laura Veltz and Dan Smyers.
This marks the first time they have performed the song on TV.
The duo tweeted, "We both got married last year, and wrote a song about the moment we first saw our beautiful brides walking down the aisle. It’s called #SPEECHLESS."
