Roddy Ricch Performs at Apple Music Awards 2020
American rapper Roddy Ricch won Apple Music Awards 2020 for Top Song of the Year with “The Box”, and Top Album of the Year with “Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial”.
“The Box” was released from his debut album “Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial” back in January. It reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
“Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial” was released in 2019. The album comprises of 16-track, featuring guest appearances from Gunna, Lil Durk, Meek Mill, Mustard, Ty Dolla Sign, and A Boogie wit da Hoodie. It reached No. 1 on the US Billboard 200.
Roddy Ricch said, “My first phone was the iPhone. It's crazy making music could get me to the point where a platform like Apple could honor me or put me on a pedestal. I just appreciate Apple Music to the farthest extent. Winning this award motivates me to work even harder. This is confirmation that I am on the right track and doing what I gotta do to be the greatest in my own right.”
He performed 6 songs “War Baby”, “Start Wit Me”, “Rock Star”, “The Box”, “High Fashion” and “Ballin” at Apple Music Awards 2020.
“War Baby”, “Start Wit Me”, “The Box” and “High Fashion” are included on his debut album.
“Rock Star” is the collaboration song with American rapper Dababy, which was released back in April. Both artists have worked together for the first time.
