AURORA Performs “Runaway” on YouTube Live
Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA performed “Runaway” on YouTube Live.
The song is included on her debut EP “Running with the Wolves”, which was released in 2015.
The track was written by AURORA and Magnus Skylstad.
Back in March, she re-released the acoustic version of the song including guitar and piano version.
AURORA shared on social media, “sometimes music is nice to hear stripped back to its natural form… i created a little video of ✨runaway✨ bare like the woods. You can watch it if you want in somewhere in the digital world (which i think you can find in my stories !!!)”
She said of the song, “It was, I think, at school in 9th grade. We were going to make a music project and that resulted in 'Runaway'. I didn't like school; I didn't like homework or bringing schoolwork home. And then I decided to just make a song. At that time I wrote a song that I didn't understand fully, but that later turned out to be a very important song that I understand well today. And it makes more and more sense, especially when I'm on tour, and that's very nice. I feel like little-Aurora gave the older-Aurora a gift by writing a song that maybe could be useful later in life. That song from little-Aurora and that period of my life is with me now and will continue to be forever on my further travels.”- ybFubTMXxJI
