Clever Releases Debut Album “Crazy”: Streaming
American rapper and singer-songwriter Clever released his debut album “Crazy” on March 12, 2021.
It is the follow-up to his 2019 mixtape “Who is Clever?”. The album comprises of 13-track, featuring guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Isaiah Lyric, Chris Brown, Juice WRLD, Post Malone and Lil Baby.
Produced by Charlie Handsome, Clever, JJ Stevens, Karltin Bankz, LondnBlue, Olivier Bassil, Rex Kudo, Tank God, Tutty and WHATUPRAN.
Clever said of the album, “This is an introduction to me lyrically, melodically, and rhythmically. It's unpredictable, but I'm explaining who I am. I tried to create an album to show my versatility and hit on every kind of style. There are a lot of hidden messages I want you to try to uncover. This album is actually one of many. The tracklist itself its got a lot of conspiracy theories around it.”
Especially “Life's A Mess II” pays homage to the late Juice WRLD. The original version of the song is included on Juice WRLD's posthumous album “Legends Never Die”, where Halsey performed on “Life's A Mess”.
Also, his 6-year-old son sang on the fourth track “Call Me Nobody” in addition to Lil Wayne and Isaiah Lyric. He said, “The song itself has a cool hook. I think I like my performance on it better than a lot of the other songs, not that I dislike any other ones but it's definitely one of my favorite records that I've produced. And it's got my 6-year-old son on it at the very end.”- source : Spotify
