American singer-songwriter FLETCHER premiered a new song “Last Laugh” along with a music video from Emerald Fennell's film “Promising Young Woman” soundtrack.
The track was written by Kinetics, One Love and FLETCHER. The video was directed by Ariel Michelle.
In addition to FLETCHER, the soundtrack features Charli XCX, Cyn, Donna Missal, DeathbyRomy, Muna, Paris Hilton, Sky Ferreira, Carmen DeLeon, Lily & Madeleine, Juice Newton, and Anthony Willis.
“I knew within minutes of screening Promising Young Woman, that I needed to be part of the soundtrack,” FLETCHER said. “Unapologetic agency over my own voice and body is something I proudly express through all that I do as an artist. With the privilege of a platform to promote sex positivity and power, I've felt it my duty to be an outspoken activist in solidarity with all survivors. With 'I Believe You,' I was able to say I hear you, I see you, I love you, I believe you. With 'Last Laugh,' which I wrote specifically for this film, I was able to in my own way share with all silenced voices that I will fight for you. The film “Promising Young Woman” was directed by Emerald Fennell, starring Carey Mulligan, Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Clancy Brown, Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton, and Laverne Cox.
The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 25, 2020 and is scheduled to be released on December 25th.- source : Udiscovermusic
