  • Welles Premieres New Music Video for “Hold Me Like Im Leaving”

  • Nashville-based rock band Welles has dropped a new music video for “Hold Me Like Im Leaving” directed by Mafalda Millies. The video was premiered exclusively on Billboard.

    The band released a debut album "Red Trees and White Trashes" including “Hold Me Like Im Leaving” on June 15, 2018.
    Singer-guitarist Jesse Wells wrote an estimated 200 songs for the album. He is inspired from The Beatles. His grandfather gave him to new The Beatles album for each birthday.

    He told Billboard about the song;
    "I had this Beatles ditty in my head from The White Album, 'Cry Baby Cry,' that's been stuck in my head all these years. So I just wrote ('Hold Me Like I'm Leaving') from that, added a melody, chorus and pre-chorus and wrote the song. The lyrics are a little dramatic, I think."
  • Jesse Wells is known as a frontman for the rock bands, Dead Indian and Cosmic-American. He started a new project as Welles in 2017.
    The album comprises of 13-track and produced by Dave Cobb. Jesse Wells said, "I was just trying to make an incredibly authentic rock 'n' roll record, which is about all I think I can do,"
    The band embarked an American tour in support of the album since June 21st. The tour will conclude at Slim's in San Francisco on October 11, 2018.
