Sam Fender Drops New Music Video for “Get You Down”
British singer-songwriter Sam Fender has dropped a new music video for “Get You Down” directed by Hector Dockrill, following previously video for “Spit Of You”.
In the clip, Sam Fender drives a car around a racetrack before being involved in a bloody accident.
Sam Fender said, “The last two videos have been an absolute thrill to make as they both involved acting - 'spit of you' was a real dream come true to work with Stephen Graham, this time I got to burn around on a racetrack and wear a leather jacket. I'm so happy the way it's come out, a little mini movie, enjoy!!!”
The song is included on his sophomore album “Seventeen Going Under”, which was released on October 8th and reached No. 1 on the UK Albums chart.
Sam Fender said of the song on Apple Music, “It's about insecurities, how jealousy and feelings of emasculation and low self-worth can really, really destroy a relationship—and had done with my relationships. The worst thing about it was I could see the way I was acting, and I knew why, but I couldn't stop it. That's why I started doing therapy. I was coming back home after being started on by a bunch of lads but not doing anything about it because I was on my own. So I'd punch walls and stuff. I used to do that all the time in my early twenties. It's toxic behavior. You can't do that. I'm on a path of self-discovery and trying to heal a lot of that.”- source : YouTube
