Dutch DJ Martin Garrix teamed up with Dutch DJ Julian Jordan and British rapper Tinie to release a new song “Diamonds” on October 8, 2021.
In the past, Martin Garrix and Julian Jordan worked together for the 2016 “Welcome” and 2018 “Glitch”.
Both DJs collaborated with Tinie for the first time.
Martin Garrix first performed the song at Electric Love Boutique Edition festival in Austria back in August.
The track was written by Martijn Garritsen, Julian Dobbenberg and Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu. Produced by Martin Garrix and Julian Jordan.
For Martin Garrix, the song follows up “Love Runs Out” featuring G-Eazy and Sasha Sloan, and “Followers” as AREA21.
Martin Garrix said, “I missed being on stage so much, and finally playing this track in front of a crowd during my first shows in almost two years felt insane. To also have both Julian and Tinie join me on stage to perform the track was so special. I'm really happy we finally get to release this one!'”
Julian Jordan said, “While working on 'Diamonds' I got a call from Martijn in the middle of the night; he had the idea of putting Tinie on the track. I rushed to his house and we finished the demo together that night. A few weeks later Tinie came to Amsterdam to record the vocals and the session was so much fun. 'Diamonds' is a track that is all about energy, something fresh and new but definitely made for huge crowds.
