Caroline Romano Releases Two New Songs “Oddities and Prodigies” & “Lonely Interlude”
- Nashville-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Caroline Romano released two new songs “Oddities and Prodigies” and “Lonely Interlude”.
The song follows up “The Hypothetical”, which was released back in July.
It is her fourth singles of 2021 and consists of A-side and B-side.
Caroline Romano explained of “Oddities and Prodigies”, “'Oddities and Prodigies' is my hello, and it will one day be my goodbye. In three little words, it proclaims my outlook on it all. For me, this song represents the beginning of the story. It's the first page of the first chapter of this narrative I'm writing. I've set out on a quest to spin something beautiful, even if it is often tragic, as I don't think you can have one without the other. I am in love with oddities. The older I get the more I realize how many prodigies walk among us. And I've learned that oddities and prodigies go hand in hand. This song is me and everything I know, summarized in feeling pretty while lying on the floor.”
She said of “Lonely Interlude”, “'Lonely Interlude' is a song I find so much peace and sadness in. Melancholy can sometimes be the sweetest thing. I actually wrote this interlude back in 2019, and I've been patiently yet eagerly waiting to release it, just as I've been waiting for my own lonely interlude to end. This song is what the past three years of my life have felt like. A hauntingly sweet period of time that never seems to end, sprinkled with infatuation and dances on hardwood floors in the good parts, and riddled with loneliness and longing in the bad parts. I do wonder if 20 is the year my lonely interlude ends. Either way, I've found beauty in this sadness, and I hope you can find it in here as well.”
