RLY Premieres New Song “Restroom Booth Confessions” on BBC Radio 1
Back in April, London-based pop music girl group RLY, consisting of Halle Williams, Virginia Hampson, Kellimarie Willis, Jess Folley and Kyra West, releaded their debut EP “Generation”.
Following the EP, they premiered a new song “Restroom Booth Confessions” on BBC Radio 1's Future Pop with Mollie King.
The track was written by Zella Day, and Klas Ahlund wwho also produced it.
RLY said of the song, “We love this song! ‘Restroom Booth Confessions’ came about after we were voice noting each other memorable moments we’d had as a group. Most of the stories told – as you can hear in the lyrics - are about crazy nights out!”- They continued, “These stories become confessionals when you've had a few drinks and end up in the bathroom. Women are either queuing for the bathroom or piled into a cubicle together, laughing about hard things, crying about heartbreak, taking selfies that will never see the light of day and touching up your makeup. It feels like a confession booth doesn't it? The restroom knows our secrets!”
