  • Elbow Announces New Album “AUDIO VERTIGO”, Shares New Song “Lovers' Leap”

  • British rock band Elbow, consisting of Guy Garvey (lead vocals/guitar), Craig Potter (keyboard), Mark Potter (guitar) and Pete Turner (bass), has announced that their tenth studio album “AUDIO VERTIGO” will be released on March 22, 2024.

The album is their first LP in three years since the 2021 album “Flying Dream 1” and comprises a 12-track.
The band recorded the album throughout 2023 at the band’s home studios, Migration Studios in Gloucestershire, The Dairy in London and mixed at the band’s facility at Blueprint Studios, Salford.
The band frontman Guy Garvey described the album as “gnarly, seedy grooves created by us playing together in 'garagey rooms'” and is both more direct and sonically varied by purpose than its predecessor.
From the album, the band released the first single called “Lovers' Leap” on January 25, 2024.
The track was written by Alex Reeves, Craig Potter, Guy Garvey, Mark Potter, and Pete Turner. Produced by Craig Potter.
The band first performed the song on The Graham Norton Show on January 26, 2024.

Guy Garvey said of the song, “Lovers’ Leap” is designed not to reflect but distract from the bad things happening in the world. We found seedy, gnarly grooves playing in back rooms and those pulled some dark memories and plenty of humor from me.”
Also, he shared on social media, “'Lover’s Leap' began with a leap of faith from Pete Turner and Alex Reeves, Elbow’s rhythm section. And then I came up with that sort of spitty distorted horn line for a change - ended up me and Craig playing the melodica. Two big men playing a small instrument made the other guys laugh!”
He continued, “And then I came up with that sort of spitty distorted horn line for a change - ended up me and Craig playing the melodica. Two big men playing a small instrument made the other guys laugh! And then out came this tale of star crossed lovers and spontaneous graffiti and gift-shop retail.”
